Acceptable Use Policy
Effective · Version 2026-11-01
Sylvii is for running an honest business. This policy says what that rules out. It's part of our Terms of Service, and it covers everything you do with Sylvii, including your site, your outreach email, your auto mode tasks, and what the agent does on your instructions.
Sylvii is operated by Ishant Kolipaka ("Sylvii", "we", "us"). We'll remind you of this policy at least once every three months.
Illegal and harmful content
Don't use Sylvii to make, publish or send anything that:
- is illegal where you are, where we are, or where the people who see it are;
- sexually exploits or endangers children, in any form. We report it to the authorities;
- is pornographic or obscene, or shares intimate images of anyone without their consent;
- harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks or defames anyone, or invades their privacy;
- promotes hatred or violence against people because of who they are, such as their race, ethnicity, religion, caste, gender, sexuality or disability;
- encourages self-harm, terrorism or violent extremism;
- infringes anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- helps launder money;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, its relations with other countries, or public order, incites an offence, prevents the investigation of an offence, or insults another nation.
Deception and impersonation
Don't use Sylvii to mislead people. That means no:
- impersonating a person, a business or an authority, or pretending to be connected with one;
- phishing, or tricking anyone into giving up passwords, payment details or personal data;
- fake reviews or testimonials, or quotes nobody gave;
- false credentials, qualifications, licences, awards or memberships;
- income or earnings claims you can't back up, or schemes that promise easy money;
- false or misleading claims about what you sell, its price, or where it comes from;
- knowingly spreading false information as if it were true;
- telling anyone who asks whether they're dealing with an AI that they aren't. The agent won't claim to be human, and you may not instruct it to.
Spam and contact data
- No spam. Email only people you know and have a right to email, as our Terms explain.
- No purchased, rented, shared or scraped lists, and no harvesting addresses from websites or other services.
- No scraping. Don't use Sylvii, the agent or a sandbox to collect personal data from websites or services that don't allow it.
- Respect opt-outs. Never email someone who has asked you to stop, and don't try to get around a do-not-contact list, for example by adding the same person again under another address.
- Don't hide who you are in an email, or use misleading subject lines.
Regulated and high-risk uses
Don't use Sylvii to sell or promote:
- weapons, explosives, or controlled or illegal drugs;
- prescription medicines, or health products with medical claims you can't support;
- gambling, or adult sexual services;
- counterfeit or stolen goods;
- investments, loans, crypto-assets or other financial products, unless you're licensed to offer them where your customers are;
- pyramid schemes, or multi-level marketing that depends on recruiting.
Don't rely on Sylvii where a mistake could cause death, injury or serious harm: for example, medical decisions, emergency services, or safety-critical systems.
Sandboxes, security and limits
Don't:
- mine crypto-currency, or use a sandbox for anything other than tasks for your business;
- attack, scan, probe or overload any system, ours or anyone else's, or use a sandbox to send email or relay traffic;
- write, store or spread malware, or anything that tracks people without their knowledge;
- try to get around our limits, caps, approvals, allowlists or other safeguards, for example by opening more accounts;
- try to break or test our security without our written permission, or get into accounts or data that aren't yours;
- try to make the agent ignore its rules, or reveal other users' data, our prompts or its keys;
- resell or share access to Sylvii, or put an unreasonable load on it.
If you find a security problem, tell us at support@sylvii.app.
Rules our providers set
Sylvii runs on other companies' services, and their rules apply to what you do through us. You must also follow:
- Anthropic's Usage Policy, for anything the AI models write or do for you;
- the AWS Acceptable Use Policy, for email we send for you through Amazon Web Services;
- the terms of OpenRouter, Cloudflare and Novita (our sandbox provider), for the AI, hosting and sandboxes they run for us.
If one of them would forbid what you're doing, it's forbidden on Sylvii.
How to report
If you see a Sylvii site or an email sent through Sylvii that breaks this policy, use the "Report this site" link on the site, or email support@sylvii.app. Please include:
- the site's address, or the email (forwarded, with its headers if you can);
- what you're reporting, and why;
- how you found it, with links or screenshots.
We won't tell the person you report who you are, unless the law makes us. For copyright, follow the steps in our Terms, since that process is different and the notice may be passed on. For other complaints, see Complaints and grievances.
How we handle reports
- A person reviews every report. Some limits work on their own, such as sending caps, bounce and complaint thresholds and do-not-contact lists. But a decision to remove a site or close an account is made by a person.
- We look at the evidence: the report, what's on the site or in the email, and what the account has done. We try to decide without opening your account, but if the evidence is serious and unclear, we may look without telling you first.
- We act in proportion to the harm, and fast when people are at risk. Where the law requires it, we report to the authorities and keep the evidence.
What we may do
Depending on what happened, we may:
- warn you, and ask you to fix it;
- remove content, or take a site down;
- pause or stop your outreach email, or remove contacts;
- stop a sandbox, or turn off auto mode for your account;
- suspend your account;
- close your account.
We can start at any step. When we act, we tell you what we did and why, as our Terms describe, unless the law or someone's safety stops us. We may close an account without warning when it has caused, or is about to cause, serious harm.
Breaking the law through Sylvii can also make you liable under India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and other laws. Where the law requires us to report an offence, such as under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 or the POCSO Act, 2012, we will.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, reply to our message or email support@sylvii.app within 14 days, with why and anything that helps. We'll look again and tell you the outcome. If we closed your account for serious harm without warning, we won't reopen it, but you can still tell us if you think we made a mistake about the facts.
