Terms of Service
Effective · Version 2026-11-01
Thank you for using Sylvii. These terms are the agreement between you and us. We've kept them as plain as we can. Three things matter most:
- The agent acts on your instructions and your approvals. What you approve, or set it to do, is yours.
- When you send outreach email through Sylvii, you are the sender. You must have the right to email each person, and you must follow the law.
- These terms limit our liability and say that Sylvii comes with no promise of income, customers or results.
Who we are
Sylvii is operated by Ishant Kolipaka ("Sylvii", "we", "us"), an individual based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
When we say:
- the service, we mean the app at sylvii.app, the websites we host for users at sylvii.site, the agent, the email it sends and receives, and anything else we provide under the Sylvii name;
- the agent, we mean the AI that works for you inside the service, the one you chat with;
- you, we mean the person who signs up, and the business they use the service for.
Accepting these terms
By signing up, or by using the service, you agree to these terms, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Cancellation & Refunds policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
If you sign up for a business, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms for it, and the business is bound by them too.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over to use the service.
- You must be a person. Accounts made by bots or other automated means aren't allowed.
- One person per login. Don't share your login. If other people work in your company on Sylvii, each needs their own, and you're responsible for what they do there.
- Keep your account secure. You sign in with your email or your GitHub account, so keep those secure too. You're responsible for everything that happens under your login. Tell us at once at support@sylvii.app if you think someone else has got in.
- Give us accurate details, and keep your email address current. It's how we reach you.
- You can't use the service if you're barred from it under sanctions or export laws.
What the service does
Sylvii helps you run a business with an AI agent. Depending on what's available to you, the agent can:
- ask about your business and write the words for it;
- write a website for you, which we host and you can edit;
- chat with you in the app, and email you and the members of your company with briefings;
- draft outreach emails to people you add, and send the ones you approve;
- run code and tools in a cloud sandbox to do tasks for you (auto mode).
Not every feature is available to every account. To do this work, we send your content to AI models from our providers (see Third-party services).
AI output
The agent's work is made by AI. AI can be wrong. It can misunderstand you, state things that aren't true, or write something that sounds right and isn't.
- Read everything before you rely on it, publish it or send it. Check facts, names, prices, dates and claims.
- The agent works from what you tell it and what it can see. If that's incomplete or wrong, its work will be too.
- Output isn't legal, tax, financial, medical or other professional advice.
- Other users may get output that is similar to yours. AI produces similar words for similar requests.
- The agent doesn't claim to be human. If someone sincerely asks whether they're talking to a person, it won't say yes, and you may not instruct it to.
No promise of results
The service helps you do the work of a business. It can't promise that the work pays off.
We don't promise any income, earnings, customers, sales, replies, bookings, search ranking or other result. Nothing we say, and nothing the agent writes, is a promise of one. Your results depend on you, your business, your market and many things outside our control.
Your instructions and approvals
The agent works for you. It acts on what you tell it, the answers you give, the approvals you make and the settings you choose.
- What you approve is yours. When you approve an email, publish or keep a page, start a task, or confirm an answer, you're responsible for the result as if you'd done it yourself.
- What you let it do without asking is yours too. Where the service lets you have the agent act without approving each step (for example in auto mode), you're responsible for what it does within what you allowed.
- What the agent does for you counts as done by you. When the agent sends an email, publishes a page or takes another step for you, within what you approved or allowed, it acts as your electronic agent: an automated system working on your behalf. In law, that act is yours, as if you had done it yourself (for example under the US Uniform Electronic Transactions Act and E-SIGN Act, and section 11 of India's Information Technology Act, 2000).
- Our safeguards aren't a guarantee. We build in approvals, sending caps, do-not-contact lists, sandbox limits and the ability to stop the agent. They help you stay in control. They don't promise the agent will never make a mistake, and they don't move your responsibility to us.
If the agent does something you didn't ask for, stop it, and tell us at support@sylvii.app.
Your content
Your content is yours. That means what you give the service (your answers, messages, files, contacts and edits) and what the agent makes for you (your site's copy, drafts, emails and task results). As between you and us, you own it, and we give you any rights we have in the output made for you. We claim no ownership of it. (Some of what's on your page, like our layouts and illustrations, stays ours: see Our intellectual property.)
You give us a licence to run the service. You allow us to host, store, copy, process, transmit, adapt and display your content, worldwide, only as needed to provide and improve the service for you: for example to publish your site, send your approved emails, and show your work back to you. The licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law or that sit in backups until they expire.
We don't train AI models on your content, and we use our AI providers on terms that don't let them train on it either.
You're responsible for your content. You confirm that you have the rights to everything you give the service, and that your content and your use of it follow these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the law.
When a person at Sylvii looks at your content. Only when we need to: to help you when you ask, to fix an error, to investigate abuse or keep the service safe, or when the law requires it. Our Privacy Policy says more.
Feedback and usage data. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, with no obligation to you. We also collect data about how the service is used and performs. We use it to run and improve the service, and we share it only in a form that doesn't identify you.
Published sites
We host the site the agent writes for you at {your-name}.sylvii.site, and also at sylvii.app/{your-name}.
- You're responsible for everything on your site, whoever wrote it: you, or the agent on your instructions. That includes every claim, review, testimonial, qualification, licence, award, price, offer, image and contact detail.
- Make it true. If a draft says anything that isn't true of your business, change it or remove it before it goes live. Don't publish a review nobody gave, a credential you don't hold, a price you won't honour, or an image you don't have the right to use.
- Follow the law that applies to your business, including consumer, advertising and privacy law, and any licence or registration your work needs.
- Your visitors and customers are yours to inform. The people who visit your site, buy from you or get your emails deal with your business, not with Sylvii. You're responsible for giving them any terms, privacy notice, disclaimer, consent request or other notice the law requires, including, where it's required, a notice that AI wrote content or acts for your business. The agent can draft these for you, but checking that they fit your business and the law is yours to do.
- Anyone can report a site through the "Report this site" link on it, or by writing to support@sylvii.app.
- We may remove or suspend a site, or part of one, if we believe it breaks these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy or the law, or puts people at risk. When we do, we tell you what we restricted and for how long, the facts and the rule or law we relied on, whether it followed a report, whether automated tools were involved, and how to appeal. We don't, if the law or someone's safety stops us.
The address of your site is ours to assign. It's yours to use while your account is open.
Outreach email
Outreach lets the agent draft emails to people you add, and send the ones you approve. The people who get these emails haven't signed up for Sylvii, so these rules matter more than any others in these terms.
You are the sender. Every outreach email is sent in your name, from an address on sylvii.site that we assign you (for example maya.chen@sylvii.site). In law, and to the person who receives it, the email is from you and about your business. We write the draft at your request and deliver it for you. Where a law also counts us as sending it, because we write the draft and deliver it, we keep to that law too: that's why every email names Sylvii and carries an opt-out we honour.
You may email only people you have a right to email. For each person you add, you promise that:
- they're a client or customer of yours, someone who asked about your work, someone you know personally, or someone who said you could email them, and they'd recognise your name. Some countries are stricter: in Canada, a past client counts for two years after your last sale or contract, and an inquiry for six months; in the UK and the EU, an individual who bought from you may be emailed only about similar work, and only if you gave them a chance to opt out when you got their address. Otherwise, ask them first;
- you got their address lawfully, and you're allowed to use it this way;
- they haven't asked you not to contact them.
No purchased, rented, shared or scraped lists, and no addresses collected by software that harvests them. Add the people you know, one at a time.
You follow the law. You comply with the anti-spam and privacy laws that apply to each email, wherever the person you're emailing is. These include the US CAN-SPAM Act, Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the EU and UK GDPR, the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the EU's ePrivacy rules and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. In particular:
- You decide who to email and why, and you're responsible for having a lawful basis. For your contacts' data, you're in charge of it, and we process it for you (see Your contacts' data).
- Where the law requires it, you tell the people you email who you are, how you got their address and what you'll use it for. Every email links to a page that explains this and how to opt out, but your business's own privacy notice is yours to keep.
- Where the law requires a postal address in the email, you give us one when we ask, and keep it current. It must be yours: your business address, or a PO box or a mailbox at a mail-receiving service registered in your name. It must keep working for at least 60 days after your last email. We put it in the email's small print.
- Your emails must be honest. No misleading subject lines, no false sender details, and no claims you can't back up.
You honour opt-outs. Every outreach email carries a way to opt out: a line in the email, and a one-click unsubscribe. When someone opts out, they go on your do-not-contact list for good, and we won't send them outreach for you again. If someone asks you to stop in any other way, add them to the list yourself. We also keep a list, across all of Sylvii, of addresses that bounced, complained or asked never to be emailed through Sylvii, and no one can send outreach to them.
Our limits. Nothing is sent without your approval. The agent drafts, and you approve, edit or reject each email, including every follow-up and every reply. We also cap how many outreach emails you can send each day and how many follow-ups one person gets. We set these limits and may change them. Each email carries the line "Sent with Sylvii", says it's a marketing email from your business, and shows your postal address. Before your first outreach email, we ask you to confirm these rules.
We may pause or end outreach, for you or for everyone, at any time and without notice: for example after complaints or bounces, if we believe you've broken these rules, if the reputation of sylvii.site is at risk, or if our email provider requires it. We may also remove contacts we believe you have no right to email.
Your sending address is ours, and you may use it while your account is open and outreach is on. When it ends, we stop sending from it, and we won't assign it to anyone else.
You cover the cost of your outreach. If a claim, complaint, fine or penalty arises from the emails you approve (who you emailed, what they said, or whether you had the right to send them), it's your responsibility, and you agree to cover us for it (see Indemnity).
Your contacts' data
When you give the service personal data about other people (the contacts you add, the people who reply to your emails, the people you mention), you're in charge of that data and we process it for you. This covers the names, email addresses, notes, messages and replies of the people you add or mention, for as long as your account is open, so that we can draft, send, receive and organise your email and do the other work you ask of the service. For that data, we:
- use it only to provide the service, on your instructions, which are these terms and what you do in the service, unless the law requires otherwise. That includes where it goes: we process it in the countries our Privacy Policy lists, and where the law requires it, protect transfers out of the EU, EEA and UK with the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the UK's addendum, which these terms include by reference. We'll tell you if we think an instruction breaks data protection law;
- make sure everyone at Sylvii who can see it keeps it confidential;
- keep it secure, as our Privacy Policy describes;
- use only the providers listed in our Privacy Policy, each under a contract with protections like these. We update that list at least 14 days before we add or replace one; if you object for a good reason and we can't resolve it, you can end your account and we'll refund the unused part of the period you paid for;
- help you answer requests from the people it's about, and help you with security and with any data protection assessment you must do;
- tell you without undue delay if a breach affects it;
- delete it when your account ends, except what the law makes us keep, and give you a copy first if you ask;
- give you the information you need to show that we keep to this section, and allow reasonable audits of it, by you or an auditor you choose, with notice and at your cost, at most once a year unless a regulator requires it or there's been a breach.
Where we decide for ourselves. A few things we do with your contacts' data are our own decisions, made to protect the people you email and the service. For these we're a controller in our own right, and our Privacy Policy applies: keeping the Sylvii-wide list of addresses that opted out of all Sylvii email, bounced or complained; handling complaints and abuse reports; keeping the service secure; and keeping records the law requires. We don't use your contacts' data for anything else of our own, such as marketing Sylvii to them.
The people it's about can also write to us directly. We'll pass their request to you, or act on it where the law lets us, such as an opt-out.
Auto mode and sandboxes
Where auto mode is available to you, the agent can run code and commands in a cloud sandbox to do tasks you start or approve.
- You're responsible for the tasks you give it, the files you bring in, the code it writes and runs for you, and what comes out.
- The sandbox has rules. No crypto-mining, attacks, scanning, sending email, or anything else the Acceptable Use Policy forbids.
- Your keys. You can store API keys and other secrets for the sandbox. We encrypt them and never show their values back to anyone, including you. Store only keys you're allowed to use. The agent uses them in commands for your tasks, so you're responsible for what happens on those accounts and any charges there. Give each key the least access it needs, and revoke it with its provider if you think it's been exposed. We can't guarantee that a command won't expose a key.
- Limits. Sandboxes have limits on time, commands, storage, file sizes and which websites they can reach. We set them and may change them.
- We may stop a sandbox. We may pause, stop, reset or delete one at any time, including to protect the service or other people, or when we pause auto mode for everyone. A sandbox isn't a backup: keep your own copy of anything important.
Payment and renewal
- The price is $25 a month. In the EU and the UK that includes VAT; elsewhere, any tax that applies where you live is added at checkout. The price and what it includes are shown before you pay.
- Using the service before you subscribe. If we let you use some or all of the service before you pay, these terms still apply.
- Dodo Payments is our merchant of record. Dodo is the seller of record for your subscription: it takes the payment, collects any sales tax or VAT, and issues your receipts. Your purchase is also governed by Dodo's buyer terms. We never see your full card details.
- Your subscription renews automatically every month, at the then-current price, charged to the payment method you gave Dodo, until you cancel.
- Price changes. We'll email you 30 days before a new price applies to you, with how to cancel. It applies from your first renewal after that. If you don't want to pay it, cancel before then.
- If a payment fails, we may limit or pause the service until it's paid, and end the subscription if it stays unpaid. If you dispute a charge with your bank, please write to us first; a chargeback can pause your account while it's looked into.
Cancellation and refunds
- Cancel any time, in the app. You don't need to talk to anyone. You can also email support@sylvii.app from your account's address.
- The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for. You keep access until then, and we won't charge you again.
- No refunds or partial refunds, except where the law requires one, or where Dodo Payments grants one under its own buyer terms. We also refund the unused part of a period you paid for if we end your subscription for any reason other than a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or fraud (Suspension and termination), or if we stop the service (Changes to the service).
- EU and UK consumers. You may have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. Because the service starts as soon as you subscribe, at checkout we ask you to confirm that you want it to start straight away. If you then withdraw within 14 days, we refund the part of the month you haven't used. Where the law gives you more, you'll get it.
The details are in our Cancellation & Refunds policy.
Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. It says what you may not do with the service, including the rules our AI, email and hosting providers set, and how we handle reports. It's part of these terms.
Our intellectual property
The service is ours or our licensors'. That includes the software, the app's design, the agent and its prompts, the site layouts and kits (their stylesheets, motifs and markup), the illustrations, and the Sylvii name and logo. Using the service doesn't give you ownership of any of it.
You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to build a competing one, except where the law allows. Don't use our name or logo without our written permission.
Your site's design. Your words and your content are yours. The layout styling and illustrations on your page are ours, and we license them to you, free of charge, for that page:
- while it's hosted on Sylvii; and
- after you leave, in a copy of your page you keep (for example one you save from your browser, or one we send you when you ask for your data). You may keep using that copy, and change it, for the same business's website, for as long as you like.
That licence isn't exclusive, and you can't transfer it on its own. You can't sell the layouts or illustrations, or use them in a template, theme or design product for other people. Other users' pages may use the same layouts and illustrations.
Copyright complaints
Respect other people's work. Don't use the service to copy or publish material you don't have the right to use.
Copyright notices and counter-notices follow the process on our Contact page, under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. We also act on copyright complaints made under other countries' laws, including India's. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.
Complaints and grievances
You can complain to us about anything on the service: content on a site, an email sent through Sylvii, how we've treated you, or how we handle your data. Write to support@sylvii.app, or see our Contact page.
Grievance officer (under India's Information Technology Rules, 2021 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023): Ishant Kolipaka, support@sylvii.app.
- We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 7 days. A request to remove content that breaks the law or our rules is resolved within 36 hours.
- If a complaint says content on Sylvii shows a person nude or in a sexual act, or impersonates them (including with altered images), we remove it within 2 hours.
Suspension and termination
You can stop at any time. Cancel your subscription in the app. To close your account and have your data deleted, email support@sylvii.app.
We may suspend or limit your account, or part of it (a site, outreach, auto mode), if:
- you break these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or we reasonably believe you have;
- your use puts the service, other users, the people you email, or us at risk, legal or otherwise;
- a payment is overdue; or
- the law or a provider we rely on requires it.
We may end your account for the same reasons, or if we stop offering the service. We'll usually warn you first and give you a chance to fix things. We won't when the harm is serious, when the law stops us, or when a warning would make things worse. If we end your subscription because you seriously or repeatedly broke these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or for fraud, we don't refund the rest of the period, unless the law where you live requires it. If we end it for any other reason, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
Abuse or threats toward us or anyone working with us ends an account at once.
When your account ends
When your account ends:
- you lose access to the service, and your site comes down;
- the agent stops working for you, and we stop sending email for you;
- we delete or keep your data as our Privacy Policy describes. It also says how to get a copy before you go. Once data is deleted, we can't recover it.
After your account has ended, your site's address may later be given to someone else. Your outreach address won't be.
The sections of these terms that by their nature should last after the end (such as ownership, the licence to your site's design, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law) stay in force.
Third-party services
The service relies on other companies. These include Clerk (sign-in), GitHub (if you sign in with it), Dodo Payments (payments), OpenRouter and Anthropic (the AI models), Amazon Web Services (email delivery), Cloudflare (our network and DNS) and Novita (our sandbox provider). The full list of who handles personal data is in our Privacy Policy.
Where you deal with one of them directly, such as paying through Dodo or signing in with GitHub, their terms apply to that too. We choose our providers carefully, but we're not responsible for their services, outages or policies, and we may change providers.
Disclaimers
We work hard to make the service reliable, but it's software, and it relies on AI and on other companies.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. In particular, we don't promise that:
- the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free or always available;
- AI output will be accurate, complete, original or fit for your purpose;
- an email will be delivered, reach an inbox, or get a reply;
- your site will rank in search or bring you anyone;
- the service will meet your needs or expectations.
If you're a consumer, you may have rights the law doesn't let us take away. Nothing in these terms affects them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- WE'RE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL OR DATA, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY MIGHT HAPPEN.
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ABOUT THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR $25 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
These limits apply whatever the legal basis of the claim: contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or anything else.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited or excluded, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
If you're a consumer, this section doesn't limit our liability for breaking your legal rights as a consumer, or for loss that was a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms.
Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you'll defend us and cover us (Ishant Kolipaka, and anyone who works with us) against any claim, complaint, fine or penalty brought by someone else, including a regulator, and the losses and reasonable legal costs that come with it, arising from:
- your content, or what's on your site;
- the outreach emails you approve or send, and whether you had the right to send them;
- your auto mode tasks, and the keys you store;
- your breach of these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy or the law.
This doesn't apply to the extent a claim is caused by our breach of these terms, our negligence, or our own materials (the software, layouts or illustrations). We'll tell you promptly about a claim and let you control its defence with a lawyer we reasonably accept; we may join with our own lawyer at our cost. You won't settle a claim in a way that admits fault for us or binds us without our written agreement, and we won't settle one that admits fault for you without yours.
If you're a consumer, you cover us only for loss caused by your breaking these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy or the law, and only as far as the law where you live allows.
Changes to the service
Sylvii is new, and the service will change. We add, change and remove features, and some are early versions that may change more or go away. We may change or stop any part of the service, with notice where the change matters to you and we can give it. If we stop the whole service, we'll give you reasonable notice and refund any period you've paid for and can't use.
Before we add features that change what we do with your data or on your behalf, such as connecting your other accounts, taking payments for you, or our team working in your account for you, we'll update these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a material change, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email or with a notice in the app. Changes that the law requires, or that fix a security issue, may take effect sooner. Each version shows its date at the top.
If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, cancel before then.
Transfer of these terms
We may transfer this agreement, and our rights and obligations under it, to a company we form to run Sylvii, or to a successor that takes over the service (for example in a merger, acquisition or sale of the business). You agree to that now. We'll tell you by email or in the app before the transfer takes effect. From then on, the new operator is "Sylvii", "we" and "us" in these terms, and it's responsible to you under them. The transfer won't reduce your rights under these terms. If you don't want to continue with the new operator, you can cancel, and if you keep using the service after the transfer, you accept it.
If the transfer comes with changes to these terms, such as a new governing law, we'll give you notice of them as Changes to these terms describes.
You may not transfer this agreement without our written permission.
Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them or the service.
If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there, or complain to a consumer body there, where that law allows. If we ever need to bring a claim against you, we'll bring it in the courts where you live. Before going to court, please write to us at support@sylvii.app, and we'll try to resolve it with you within 30 days.
General
- Whole agreement. These terms, with the policies they link to, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. They replace anything said before.
- Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force, and that part applies as far as the law allows.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.
- Events beyond control. Neither of us is liable for a delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, internet or power failures, or a provider's outage. This doesn't excuse payment for a period already provided.
- Notices. We send notices to the email address on your account. You send them to support@sylvii.app.
- Relationship. You and we are independent. These terms don't create a partnership or employment. Apart from the agent acting for you as Your instructions and approvals describes, they don't make either of us the other's agent.
- No third-party rights. No one else, including the people you email, gets rights under these terms.
- Language. These terms are written in English. If we translate them, the English version applies.
