There's one address for everything: support@sylvii.app. Support, billing, legal notices, privacy requests, complaints, copyright claims and abuse reports all go there, and a person reads every one.
Putting a word in the subject line, like "Report", "Copyright" or "Privacy", helps us get to it faster.
Who we are
Sylvii is operated by Ishant Kolipaka, an individual (a sole proprietor) in Hyderabad, Telangana, India ("Sylvii", "we", "us").
Sylvii is run from Hyderabad, Telangana, India. We don't publish a postal address or phone number yet: email is the way to reach us, and we accept legal notices at support@sylvii.app.
Help with your account
Questions about Sylvii, your site, your subscription or a charge: write to support@sylvii.app from the email address on your account, so we can find it. Cancelling and refunds are covered in Cancellation & Refunds.
Grievance officer
If you have a complaint about Sylvii, about how we handle your data, or about content on a site we host, you can raise it with our grievance officer. We have one under India's Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- Grievance officer: Ishant Kolipaka
- Email: support@sylvii.app, with "Grievance" in the subject line
- What happens: we acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 7 days of receiving it. A request to remove content that breaks the law or our rules is resolved within 36 hours.
- Content that shows you intimately or impersonates you: if a site we host shows you, or someone you act for, nude or in a sexual act, or impersonates you (including with an altered image), we remove it within 2 hours of your complaint. Put "Urgent" in the subject line.
Tell us who you are, what the complaint is about, and where we can see it (a site address, an email, or the part of the app).
If you're not satisfied with our decision, you can appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee set up by the Government of India, within 30 days of hearing from us, at gac.gov.in. For a complaint about your personal data, once you've come to us first, you can also go to the Data Protection Board of India.
Report a site or abuse
Users publish their own sites on Sylvii, at addresses like name.sylvii.site or sylvii.app/name. Every one has a "Report this site" link at the bottom of the page. If one of them, or anything else on Sylvii, is fraudulent, harmful, illegal or breaks our Acceptable Use Policy, tell us.
Please include:
- The site's address, for example
name.sylvii.site. - What's wrong, and where on the page it is.
- How you came across it, and screenshots if you have them.
- A way to reach you, if you'd like to hear back.
- A statement that you believe what you're reporting is accurate and made in good faith.
If it's urgent, such as phishing, malware, a scam taking money now, or anything that puts a child at risk, put "Urgent" in the subject line.
What we do:
- We look at every report.
- If the site breaks our rules or the law, we take it down or suspend it, and we may close the account behind it. For something less serious, we may ask the owner to fix it first.
- Material that sexually exploits a child is removed at once and reported to the authorities.
- We don't tell the site's owner who reported it.
- If you gave us a way to reach you, we tell you what we did.
For a copyright claim, see the next section; it needs a little more from you.
Copyright notices
Users can't use Sylvii to copy other people's work beyond what the law allows. If you own the copyright in something and believe a site or other material on Sylvii infringes it, you can send us a notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). We take notices from anywhere.
Send it to: support@sylvii.app, with "Copyright" in the subject line. Ishant Kolipaka handles copyright notices at that address. We follow the notice-and-takedown process of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act for every notice, wherever it comes from.
A notice needs, in writing:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act for them.
- The copyrighted work you say is infringed. If there are several, a representative list will do.
- The material you say infringes it, and enough to find it: the site's address, and the page or section.
- Your name and contact details: an email address, and a postal address or phone number.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
What we do: we remove or disable the material promptly, and tell the user who posted it. We send them a copy of your notice, which includes your name and contact details. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Counter-notice. If your material was taken down and you believe that was a mistake, or that the material was misidentified, you can send us a counter-notice at the same address. It needs:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The material that was removed, and where it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, postal address and phone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the US Federal District Court for the judicial district where your address is or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Sylvii may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice, or their agent.
We send the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. We put the material back 10 to 14 business days after we receive your counter-notice, unless they first tell us they've gone to court to keep it down.
Under India's Copyright Act. If you own the copyright and complain to us in writing under India's Copyright Act, 1957, we disable access to the material within 36 hours of receiving a complete complaint. If you don't send us an order from a competent court within 21 days, we may restore it.
Knowingly misstating that material infringes, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages. If you're not sure, ask a lawyer first.
For authorities and the EU Digital Services Act
Authorities, and anyone using our service in the EU, can reach us at support@sylvii.app. It's our single point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act. Write to us in English.
Privacy requests
To see, correct, delete or get a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or to object to how we use it, write to support@sylvii.app with "Privacy" in the subject line. We may need to confirm you are who you say you are before we act. What we collect, why, and your rights are in our Privacy Policy.
Got an email sent with Sylvii?
Sylvii helps people write to others they already know, like someone they've worked with before. Sylvii, an AI, drafts each email. The person whose name is on it reads it and approves it before it goes, and it's sent from their own address at sylvii.site. They are the sender; we run the service that sends it (who we are).
Your data. The person who wrote to you is responsible for your details. They got your address from their own dealings with you, and use it to write to you about their work, because they have a legitimate interest in keeping in touch with people they know. Sylvii handles it for them, and keeps its own list of addresses that asked never to be emailed through Sylvii (Privacy Policy). You can object at any time, and we'll stop: use any of the ways below. You can also ask them, or us, what's held about you, or complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Want no more? Any one of these is enough:
- Reply "no thanks". That person won't write to you through Sylvii again.
- Click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of the email.
- Write to us at support@sylvii.app and tell us the address the email went to. If you ask, we'll stop every Sylvii user's email to that address, not only the person who wrote to you.
Didn't expect it, or think it's spam? Forward it to support@sylvii.app with "Report" in the subject line. We look at every one. Sending email people didn't expect breaks our rules, and we act on accounts that do.
